Ric Flair’s last match event is already sold out

Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair’s Last Match It sold out in less than 24 hours this weekend, according to the Starrcast Twitter account. The event will be held at the Nashville Fairgrounds on July 31 (summerslam weekend) will feature the final match of “The Nature Boy” where he teams up with FTR to take on The Rock N’ Roll Express and a third, as-yet-unnamed opponent. It was originally Ricky Steamboat, one of Flair’s earliest competitors, but “The Dragon” chose not to participate in the match. There were also rumors that Hulk Hogan might be involved, but Flair shot those rumors down.

The event announcement came with a great deal of criticism given that Flair is 73, hasn’t wrestled since 2011, has a pacemaker and had near-fatal health concerns a few years ago. Since then, Flair has addressed it on his site to be the man Audio notation.

“For the 30% of people who are concerned about me getting in the ring and wrestling again, first and foremost, I assure you I’ve been in the ring a lot more than I’ve shown on social media,” Flair said. “I’m in better shape now than I was, much better now because I train with Rob, John Cena’s personal trainer, than I’ve ever been in my life in terms of cardio. I’ve never been a beauty wonder boy so I’ll wear a T-shirt but I can To assure you that in two and a half months, I will be laying in a clinic about what real wrestling should be.”

“If you don’t see how much money I make from Cameo, then on my own I can live the rest of my life. I just did a commercial for Nu Image Rejuvenation Clinic, another commercial for Car Shield. My life is good, I don’t need money but I love glory.” I’d never leave him. If I had a chance to beat myself up, I would. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole life. It’s not about money guys. I’m going to make a lot of money because everything Conrad touches makes money,” Flair continued. “It’s about doing what I’ve done all my life. I watch wrestling every day because I love it and I respect the players in it.”
